The day was nearly perfect for Jennifer & Patrick — if by perfect you mean the US Open is in town and the majority of your guests, including a bridesmaid, can not find flights or hotel rooms in order to attend the wedding! That didn’t even phase Jennifer whom I have had the pleasure of speaking with over the telephone on many occassions for many months leading up to her wedding. She took everything in stride and just a couple days before the wedding when she informed me there would be less than 20 guests attending (they were expecting closer to 80 as was evident by the cake) she was surprisingly calm.
In all honesty, the day couldn’t have been any better. Their ceremony took place at Old Stone Church in Monroeville, PA which is quite literally an “old stone church”. The site doesn’t have a congregation or even hold services on Sunday mornings any more. It is an historic site that is open for special events only but this magnificent church perched atop a hill is AMAZING. The view as you walk up to the church is breathtaking. Did I mention there is NO parking? We were lucky enough to snag one of the three spots in front of the church otherwise it would have been a hike!
Jennifer & Patrick are into photography so this was an extra special wedding for Amanda. She knew they were looking for something fun and creative that would properly document their wedding day — small and full of heart.
As far as video was concerned, we ran a three camera/three cinematographer shoot for the ceremony which was fun as we don’t often have the opportunity to put three cinematographers on the same wedding. Hopefully we’ll have a chance to post some of the completed video here in the next week or so. Keep checking back.
Here are some of the pictures from the day.

You have to admit, he is awfully cute isn’t he?

Amanda just couldn’t resist taking a few last minute shots around the red barn before we headed out.

The reception took place in the Matron of Honor’s backyard which was appropriate considering the weather was absolutely perfect. I was expecting it to be a low key, not a lot of dancing type of reception due to the number of guests but I was wrong. Everyone liked to dance and had a great time! By the way, if you’re in need of a great catering service for any event in the Pittsburgh area… call Gourmet Affairs Catering. The food was out of this world and I don’t often say that for outdoor, backyard receptions:-) If you need any contact information let me know!
That pretty much wraps up Jennifer & Patrick’s wedding. Once again, we had a great time celebrating with everyone and Jennifer was just as much fun in person as she was on the phone!
